Hartwood is operating as one of the UK’s leading oak-framing manufactures based solely on reputation, referrals, and word of mouth.
Online, however, a completely different story was being told. Their hard-earned reputation was being miss-represented by an outdated, unresponsive and characterless website.

Through facilitated discovery sessions we established what distinguishes Hartwood from its competitors and other relatable industries. Working with traditional materials like Oak requires a certain love and passion for the craft. With many modern and ‘quick-to-use’ building materials dominating today’s buildings, we decided to target those passionate about traditional methods with an appreciation for the craftsmanship that goes into each structure.
In a world with so many cheap alternatives readily available, we needed to project what makes using Hartwood unique and desirable. This is where we dig to discover why Hartwood exists and what will drive user behavior.
